Road trip books

Everyone who participates is encouraged to begin by reading Travels with Charley: In Search of America by John Steinbeck. Paperback copies will be provided to anyone who asks thanks to a generous anonymous donation. Books can be picked up at the library. If you would like a copy, let Mary know and one will be reserved for you. A librarian will call you when your book is ready to pick up.

We also have two ebook copies of Travels with Charley just for Tamworth library card holders through NH Downloadable Books thanks to a grant to the New Hampshire State Library, via New Hampshire Humanities, via National Endowment for the Humanities, via CARES Act.

After Travels with Charley, you may want to continue your reading road trip with one or more of the following titles. Contact us to borrow a copy. Many of these are lent to us from a private collection with the request that you treat them like a library book and return them to the library.
